Why the Failure Rate of Solar Inverter Decreases in Winter

In the solar photovoltaic power generation system, the power generation is often reduced because of the inverter fault, which will become less in winter. On the contrary, the failure rate of photovoltaic inverter will rise linearly in other seasons.

In fact, the photovoltaic inverter is still working normally in the winter, produces a lot of electricity in the winter and provide the necessary electricity for people's urban life. The main reasons for the breakdown rate of inverter in winter are as follows:

The power generation of solar power plants has decreased in winter, mainly because the light is generally poor in winter, the output power of the inverter is low, the inverter is running at low load. In this way, the time of the high load is reduced, meanwhile the power generation time of the inverter is reduced, which also makes the inverter less likely to fail.
On the other hand, many people think that the low temperature will affect the operation of the inverter. In fact, this will not happen. Most components can withstand a low temperature of minus 25 degrees. Once the inverter is in operation, and the power element passes through the current, the temperature will rise, which can increase the temperature of the inner cavity and make the working temperature of the component larger than the ambient temperature.
In short, most of the inverter failures are due to heat, so the inverter should be installed in favor of ventilation and heat dissipation. Many photovoltaic power plants are aware of the importance of the inverter, especially in the use of high-precision resistors. Many photovoltaic power plants will invest a lot of money to purchase the inverter produced with high precision resistor because the normal performance of the inverter can effectively increase the profit of the power plant while the fault of the inverter will bring huge economic losses to the power plant.
