Microhm Electronics announces the expansion of the NLR Series of TO-220 and TO-247 style power resistors. The NLR Series value range now starts at 0.01 ohm  and goes up to 51K ohm  for most sizes (the NLR35 value range extends up to 1M0 ohm). The NLR Series is available in 0.5% tolerances and TCR as low as 50 ppm making it suitable for precision power resistor requirements. Power ratings for the NLR series, assuming use with a heat sink and a 25°C case temperature, ranges from 10 W up to 140 W.

The NLR Series  is ideal for use with power semiconductors. Using a heat sink allows these relatively small parts to handle high power safely, reliably, and with minimal resistance shift over the life of the product.

 

NLR Series are mature high power resistors by Microhm Electronics Ltd. It used to withstand and dissipate large amounts of power with heat sink. General speaking, Microhm power resistors have a power rating of at least 5 Watt and are made from materials with a high thermal conductivity, allowing efficient cooling.

 

Microhm NLR series consist of NLR30, NLR35, NLR50, NLR100 and NLR140 at present. It includes TO220, TO247 as well as TO263 packges. NLR series can be made to through hole type or surface mount type as per customers' request.
