What are the Special Specifications for Military Grade Resistors
Date:2019-03-18
Military grade resistors are usually important to military, aerospace fields, military radar,  military aircraft and more. Military class resistors are very different from ordinary resistors, their precision, resistance and temperature drift parameters are very demanding. Lots of tests are performed before the purchase of these resistors.

Generally speaking, the military class resistor specification consists of general specification and detail specification. The general specification specifies the requirements of military grade for the quality control of certain types of resistive components. The detailed specification is the specific military performance and quality control requirements specified for one or a series of models of a certain class of components. The general specification must be used in conjunction with the detailed specification. The product specification of resistive components is one of the basis for the production line certification and the identification of resistive components. It is also the main basis for the user to select and purchase the resistive components.

Secondly, the standard of military grade resistor is another form in the military industry standard system, besides standardizing and instructing the military industry technical document. It covers a wide range of categories. For resistance component users, in the first place it is to understand the resistance test and measurement methods of the standard. Because such resistance standards are important technical support for specifications, understanding the contents of such standards in combination with product specifications on the one hand contributes to a deeper understanding of the resistance components' ability to withstand various stresses. On the other hand, it provides a reference for the users of resistance components to correctly formulate standards or regulations for supplementary screening or failure analysis.

At present, many countries carry out the specification of military-grade resistor procurement, and the companies that produce military-grade resistors need to make production strictly in accordance with these specifications, with the consequent increase of resistance technology. Many civil resistors also meet the requirements of military grade resistors, and these resistors are widely used in many high-precision instruments, and exported military products.
